YOUNG SCIENTISTS STUDY

Content of the total carbon and nitrogen in transitional and lowland peat in Bryansk region

The increased content of the total nitrogen in lowland peat that is connectedwith botanical composition of peat and more intensive formation of humus from plants forming peat is noted inBryansk region. It is shown that distribution of the relative content of the total carbon and nitrogen in peat of transitional and lowland type differs. Parallelism between a course of curves of the relative content of the total carbon and nitrogen in peat of lowland type is noted.

Keywords: peat of transitional and lowland type, total carbon and nitrogen, relative contents.

Role of microelements in spring wheat cultivation at typical grey forest soil in Chuvashiya republic

The researches allowed to reveal the interrelations of microelements content in soil and in spring wheat grain. Application of microelements as root top dressingleads up to the optimal content of microelements in plant production, increases the yield, content of protein, starch, grain quality and profitability. The received results allowed to create diagrams of microelements content in the profile oftypical-grey forest soil and to work out recommendations for microfertilizer application in agricultural production of the Chuvash Republic.

Keywords: typical-grey forest soils, microelements, arable layer, non-root feeding.

Influence of municipal wastewater precipitation on crop production quality

There are being given the foundings of municipal wastewater precipitation (MWWP)influence on rape, spring wheat and barley seeds quality including heavy metals content. It was established that MWWP improve the cultures' nutritive value, but doesn't favour the accumulation of heavy metalsabove the maximum permissible concentration.

Keywords: MWWP, quality, heavy metals, rape, spring wheat, barley.

Comparison assessment of sanding and claying for productivity increase of peat soil

This work gives a comparative assessment of major agrochemical properties of peat soil with application of mineral soil (sand, clay) in order to improve soil fertility and maintain its productivity.

Keywords: sand, clay, peat, physical and chemical characteristics, productivity.

Assessment of soil pollution in the territory of railway objects in Moscow city

For soils of two railway objects, located in the Central administrative district of the city of Moscow, specified levels of a number of toxicants. Using a t-test revealed significant differences between the soils of railway objects and soils adjacent («background») territories on the content of polluting substances.
